2020 is the start of a profound purification process. Many old structures and systems will prove to be unsustainable and will collapse. Sometimes this will happen on a small scale, sometimes on a larger scale. Only that which is truly pure has a chance to survive and thrive in the long run.

The current pandemic and economic downturn — the Corona crisis — creates the opportunity for us to purify our lives and overcome old obstacles. Those who prefer and stick to old ways will meet more and more friction and frustration, while new energy will flow freely and effortlessly.

Why do we currently struggle with COVID-19?

As mentioned, we will witness a collapse of old structures and systems in 2020 and beyond. The Coronavirus is one of the signs that this purification process has started. It will reveal the issues of our socioeconomic systems and shine a light on personal flaws.

Many people live in a brainwashed state. We make choices to avoid trauma and deep-rooted fears (rushing to the supermarket to hoard food and toilet paper), instead of acting from love and kindness. This often results in choices that we would regret if we could see the bigger picture.

On a global level, our societies have issues such as warfare, pollution, hunger, poverty and discrimination. The COVID-19 pandemic requires international collaboration, learning from best practices and transparent decision making. It presents an opportunity to overcome our differences. Perhaps we can use the newly printed money to solve some of these issues?

By bringing these questions to our attention, the Corona crisis will cause us to reflect on our lives and it can be a catalyst for change.

What can we do to protect ourselves and loved ones from the Coronavirus?

The short answer: anything to boost your immune system. Adopt a healthy, responsible lifestyle and get enough quality sleep.

Stop working in offices and co-working spaces where the virus can spread through air conditioners and where stress is disrupting your energy balance.

Clean your house every day: open windows and doors against each other and let the fresh air flow. We often forget how important fresh oxygen is to stay healthy. Rediscover the outdoors, spend time in nature. Activities such as walking, running, biking, swimming or yoga are recommended as these will bring fresh oxygen to your whole body.

Drink plenty of water (at least 2L per day), eat little refined sugars and limit your consumption of fabricated foods. Taking extra vitamins can help in some cases, but if you have a balanced diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables you should get enough nutrients.

Living from the heart

This recommendation may sound strange at first, but we should strive to live more from the heart.

There is a simple reason why: when you allow love to guide your life, you will experience more happiness, grace, determination and trust.

a life based on fear is limiting,
a life based on love is liberating!

However, acting from love and kindness rather than from fear is easier said than done. It takes courage and strength to purify our lives from fear, as it often means stepping out of comfort zones and letting go of control. Perhaps you need to give up that job you hate, solve issues in that toxic relationship, or free yourself from pain of the past.

Get in touch with your inner world and check frequently whether you are acting from love or from fear. If you are not sure about your intentions you could try to breathe deeply, place your hand on your heart and ask yourself the question “what would love do?” and witness your reaction. Does your heart open up like a flower and do you feel joy and light? Or does it feel like your heart shrinks and do you feel cold? If you practice this every day you will get a strong inner balance (mentally and emotionally), which will help you deal with stress from the outside world.

What can you do if you have the corona virus?

Every illness offers us the opportunity to reflect. What do we really need in life? Which things have become a burden?

Let go of the things that hold you back. Think about the foods you eat, your habits, addictions, relationships, old behavior patterns, traumatic memories, fears, activities or hobbies. Reflect. Take lots of rest, drink huge amounts of water, eat the foods your body needs (fresh fruits and vegetables) and get rid of the things that keep you from being healthy.

Self-love is especially important for a speedy recovery. Do not blame yourself for getting ill and possibly infecting others.

Remind yourself multiple times a day of your intrinsic value, your essence, and explore your unique talents that can serve humanity. Invite yourself on a mission to use these unique talents to help humanity move forward and build a better future. You will get new energy from this mission and as a reaction your body will recover more quickly.

Last but not least: remember to smile and have fun along the way. Humor is a wonderful cure against (collective) fear and panic.

Friend or enemy?

When we look at the bigger picture, the Coronavirus is not our enemy. Social distancing and economic losses are unpleasant in the short term, but in the long run it will empower us. The pandemic is just a trigger for a collapse that was inevitable due to systemic flaws in our socioeconomic systems.

While it serves as a convenient scapegoat for the powers that be to print more money or to implement surveillance technology, it also empowers us to purify our lives, embrace love and kindness, explore our unique talents and go on a mission that will create a positive change.

Ultimately, the Corona crisis will make us aware of the things that really matter — the fundamental values in life — which will empower us to find lighter and more friendly ways of living together. ❤
